How we work

We influence these issues by impacting "The 4-pillars of life: Relationships, Health, Work and Provider-ship, Emotional and Spiritual Development." We accomplish this through our eclectic approach to mental health: Candid dialogues with our Safe Place sessions, experiential skills, and development, along with spirit, mind, and body practices (i.e., Breath Work and more). We work with a cadre of committed professionals offering a heterogeneous mixture approach to healing our family dynamics and addressing the unique issues in the inner cities of Los Angeles. Financial advisors and counselors assist families in discovering best-practice budgeting techniques. We also have health practitioners offering an eclectic approach to physical and emotional best practices for healthier families. We offer additional tangible services in humanistic counseling, coaching, and housing facilities that provide creative co-op opportunities for families to secure stability in their family life.

Omb Families in Transition Grant

OMB Grant is an annual grant to help families transition due to losing income, home, or other devastating events. We also provide clothing and home furnishing to families in need. iRiS's mother had a passion for helping families. In her tradition, iRiS and the Board Members of the Center of inPOWERmeant Inc. are carrying her dream forward.

Annual Turkey & Bags Blessings Giveaway

Every year COINPM hosts our Bags of Blessings and Turkeys and bags, purses, and backpacks filled with toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, shampoo, canned goods, and other basic needs items.

Support groups for grief, caregivers, and more

We offer support groups for grief, caregivers, employment referrals and placement, financial assistance and referrals, and other creative co-op living opportunities. Sometimes as a family is rebuilding their lives and re-entering the workforce, county food assistance is terminated. We offer grocery solutions for an extended time while a family is in the transitional phase, utility assistance, and other services from in-house and in collaboration with other community providers.

Transitional Housing

We will offer our first transitional housing for displaced families with 1-2 children. Our program will consist of financial counseling, mental health counseling and referrals, support groups, and a unique blend of employment and entrepreneurial opportunities that will allow families to shift their family dynamics' stability and trajectory.

Educational

COINPM educational programs in-power our participants to redefine their present and future through motivational interviewing. They see past experiences as learning tools that equip them with the aggregate mechanism of inner-power-purpose. Our staff and professionals guide each participant to their most powerful, productive, positive contribution to self, family, and community. One-on-one training as well as family educational opportunities online as well as with others participating in our programs.

2021 has continued in change and growth for all of us. Center of inPOWERmeant Inc. (COINPM) has exceeded our expectations and projections for the year 2021 (See projections below). The current pandemic and social changes have of course expanded the needs of many families. We are doing our part in being a bridge of hope and solutions to many families in transition with food, support groups, financial support, clothing, referrals and so much more. In June we did not have enough resources to meet the request or needs of many families. When you partner with us with your dollars another bridge of hope is provided for families in transition. COINPM is in a position to secure our first Transitional Home for families. Our need is to raise $100,000 before the last quarter of this year.
