CARING FOR THE CAREGIVERS

Research confirms burnout and secondary traumatic stress (STS) are common among those who are professional caregivers (Doctors, Counselors, Nurses, Ministers, Firemen, ER-workers, Public Transportation, Groceries and Utility workers, Waste management, Customer Service, and etc...) as well as caregivers not categorized as professional. Care for an elderly parent or family member, caring for a special needs child or children, caring for a chronically ill family or friend, being a full-time mother, father or sibling, are a few of the titles we wear.

Caregiving is a uniquely rewarding experience, it is also a mentally and physically demanding job. Without proper support, it can take a toll on your health and your psyche. Burnout is a caregiver’s worst enemy, but resources like counseling and support groups can help you provide high-quality care and achieve emotional stability

What is ONline caregiver support group?

Our founder is a certified Grief Counselor and Clinical Counselor specializing in Grief, trauma healing, and family restoration. Lurinda facilitates both Caregivers and Grief online support. Her passion is birth from her personal experience. She knows firsthand what it is to care for loved ones whose health is declining and their daily needs are dependent on you. She also, knows what it is like to have that responsibility with child care responsibility or working in an under-appreciated industry that deals with the public's illnesses, frustrations, and anger daily. The strain and stress can be overwhelming and often not recognized until one's mental, emotional, physical, family, and financial health is exhausted. Sometimes shame and guilt inoculate daily activities because of frustration and not wanting to do it anymore. Online Caregiver Support is a “Safe Place” to release, let-go, recharge, and refuel. Join every 2nd Thursday of the month online
